Technology should make some tasks easier, not harder

This is not a complaint against technology, but organization of knowledge. If technology improves organization and offloading of tedious tasks, the developer who knows how to harness a new technology to efficiently organize information benefits. The person who researches information but doesn't organize it well enough or quickly enough might be at a disadvantage. However, the person who sifts and sorts manually retains some advantages- manual error correction. Using automated retrieval software, like web crawlers and data trawlers create an additional task of needing to sift through all that extra data produced. With manual search and gathering, error correction occurs with each article.

I am that person, turning one page at a time in a Dewey, musty library.
